Including fees for regulation of small on-lot sewage (septic) systems
Regional Council will be considering changes to the Fees and Charges By-law at the Budget Review Committee of the Whole meeting to be held on at the Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber, Regional Headquarters, 2201 St. David's Road, Thorold, Ontario. A list of the proposed changes to the 2012 Fees and Charges can be viewed on the Region's website. In accordance with the Building Code Act, Niagara Region is required to hold at least one public meeting to allow for an opportunity to review and provide comments on the proposed revisions to the fee schedule for the Regulation of Small On-Lot Sewage Systems (Septic Systems).
Members of the public may appear as a delegation with respect to any of the proposed changes to the Fees and Charges By-law. To register as a delegation please contact Kevin Bain, Regional Clerk at 905-685-4225 Ext. 3226. Each delegation will be provided up to 10 minutes for their presentation. The Chair of the Committee will also ask after all registered delegations have been heard if there are any other persons wishing to make a presentation. Written submissions may also be made, to:

Regional Council intends to adopt a By-law to Establish Fees and Charges for services and activities provided by Niagara Region on December 8, 2011. The date of adoption for Fees and Charges By-law may change depending on the meetings required to finalize the 2012 Budget. Notice of any changes to the budget schedule will be placed on this website.
