No thanksBreastfeeding is the most complete form of nutrition for your baby's growth and development and has so many benefits for mom, the family, and the environment.
The Canadian Paediatric Society, Health Canada and the World Health Organization recommend exclusive breastfeeding. This means your baby does not need anything else for the first 6 months. Your breastmilk contains everything that your baby needs.
At 6 months of age continue to breastfeed as you begin to give your baby solid foods. Breastmilk remains the most important food as your baby gradually begins to eat more and more solid foods. It is recommended to continue breastfeeding for two years and beyond.
