The COVID-19 vaccine should be given alone and apart from other vaccines. Other vaccines should be scheduled 14 days before or 28 days after the COVID-19 vaccine. The health care provider at the clinic will ask you to reschedule your appointment if have received another vaccine in the past 14 days of your appointment.

Upon arrival, let the outdoor clinic staff know if you have an appointment or if you're a "walk-in".
Each person entering the vaccination clinic must complete an individual screen. You have three options to complete the screening.
You will be given a handout to read with information about the vaccine. The handout will also have a list of questions the health care provider will ask you in Step 5.
If you're told not to enter the vaccination clinic because you're at increased risk of COVID-19 transmission, you will need to defer your vaccination. If you booked an appointment, you can reschedule.
You will be called to a registration desk where your green health card will be scanned.
You will be directed to a table to get your COVID-19 vaccination.
Public Health plans to have both mRNA vaccines at our clinics. You will be offered the same mRNA vaccine that you got at your first appointment. This means you can choose which vaccine you get at the clinic, while supplies last.
If you have fainted, or became dizzy with previous vaccinations or procedures, or if you have a high level of fear about injections, tell the health care provider so that appropriate supports can be offered.
If the health care provider at the vaccination clinic advised you to defer your COVID-19 vaccination, you will need to defer your vaccination. If you booked an appointment, you can reschedule.
You will sit in our waiting area for 15 minutes after getting vaccinated. Sit on a chair that has papers on the seat. This means your chair has been cleaned and disinfected. Make sure the sticker you're given is visible. Don't put your coat or sweater on top of the sticker.
You will receive proof of vaccination that you can take with you.

It takes 14 days to start getting immunity from your vaccine. After that time, your risk of getting COVID-19 is much lower. If you do get COVID-19, the vaccine can prevent severe illness and death.
The only long-term impact of the vaccine is immune memory against COVID-19. This is because your body breaks down and gets rid of the mRNA as soon as it's finished using the mRNA's instructions. Once the mRNA breaks down, your body doesn't have the ability to produce more.
