T. Roy Adams Humanitarian of the Year Award
T. Roy Adams was an eminent Niagaran, well known throughout the Region, Canada, and abroad for his service to God, his country and his fellow citizens.
In memory of the late Councillor T. Roy Adams, Niagara Region initiated a memorial award in 2003 in his name to honour a resident of Niagara who best exemplifies Roy's values and dedication to community service; a person who sees volunteerism as an integral part of their life.

2011 Winner: Roberta Craine Davidson
Davidson received the award on July 7, 2011 for her contributions towards improving the lives of others and her 30 years of dedication towards the Niagara Region.
- Davidson started volunteering at age 14, committing over 2,000 hours at the St. Catharines General Hospital.
- In 1990, she began volunteering at the Niagara Regional Detention Centre twice a month to run a self-help program.
- In 2003, she was one of the founding members and first chairperson of the Queenston Street Community Volunteers working with city and police officials to address problems in the area.
